Because students took the 7th grade STAR writing test, they were given the period to work on previous notebook entries before it id due (Monday, March 8th) and worked on the Study Guide for the Unit 8 tests, which will be in class on Friday, March 5th.

Students need to have pgs. 94 and 95 completed in their Vocabulary Workshop books and ready for correction at the start of class on Friday, 2/26.

A reminder: On Friday, 2/26, Standley will observe a backwards schedule. Periods will run from 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Academic Prep. Student lunch will remain the same, as it is based on Period 4.

Students took the unit 7 vocabulary test today in all periods. For homework, they need to continue working notebook activities 2.1 – 2.10, which will be due on next week, as well as the Unit 8 voabulary book, which will be due Friday.

Winter Break Homework

Over the Winter Break students are to:

- read Act II of A Christmas Carol in their Literature books
- answer questions 1-6 on page 654.
- relax and enjoy time with their friends and family
- return ready to resume where we left off.

Narrative Rough Draft #2 due with changes incorporated from Tuesday’s activity.

Thursday, 11/19
Narrative Rough Draft #3 due with changes incorporated from Wednesday’s activity. Final Narrative due Friday. Students complete self grade rubric found in Narrative Prewriting Packet.

Friday, 11/20
